until
today, it was perfect to be 25. giov, who celebrated his birthday the
same day i did, told us he decided to be 30 and skip 4 years. i told
him i could use 4 more years for the parties like last weekend.
i
am eating that back now. i am skipping four years myself and decide to
be 29. yes, i obviously lack originality in this aspect but giov, for
the arrogant asshole that he is, makes a lot of sense most of the time.
i am officially skipping four years and decide to be 29. tomorrow, my
looks will catch up with me.
for now, however, i am jotting down the things i realized during my ten-day boracay vacation:
- your friends will always remember your birthday. and it doesnt matter if they were there celebrating with you or not.
- there is no such thing as same friendship after the breakup. somehow,
it will always change. you are lucky if it changes for the better;
damned the law of the universe if it changes otherwise.
- platonic relationship is only platonic if it suits both of you. the
moment either one cracked up, pray that the gods had good reasons why
the moon shone the way it did that night.
- it is better to be drunk in a company of a sober friend than to be sober in a company of a drunk one.
- when one is really over it, one is definitely over it.
- everything comes with a price, even the free liquor shots you got that night.
- the world still looks normal after nine glasses of campari if you willed it.
- the world will fall apart after one shot of tequilla. if you willed it.
- there is a good reason why the likes of us do not reside in boracay; it would have not survive us.
- guys with an overdose of liquor will always find you, or any other girl for that matter, drop dead beautiful.
- a bottle of water always saves the day.
- there is always a good reason why some people behaves when they’re wasted.
- there is always a good reason why some people misbehave when they’re wasted.
- there is never a good reason why some people stayed normal when they’re wasted.
- stay away from guys who confessed they love you when they’re drunk, most probably, they are telling the truth.
- it is not fun playing with fire unless you expect you’ll get burned. still with that, it can get nasty.
- if you classify yourself as a bad girl and refuse to act like one when someone calls for it, you probably not bad enough.
- true friends are those who can watch you cry without having you justify it
